Guide to Designing your Sign:
Use the contact page and let me know what you would like on your sign. Use the quides below to help you in your decsions. If you would like it designed from scratch just describe what you are after and a sample image can be sent to you as a starting point. Remember that you do not have to purchase anything to get or modify this image.

Q: 1. What you need to decide On?
The size of your sign. Measure where you would like your new sign and remember to allow some spacing around the outside. Take note of the maximum distance you would like to see your sign from. Ie from the road or on the way up the path etc. To test this use blank paper cut or folded to the size of your sign. Write your text on
in plain letters. Tape this to where you would like the sign and step back and
observe. If you can make it out from your maximium distance then job done.
If not rethink the size again.
The shape of the sign should also be considered.
The size and postion of the lettering. If you have gone through the size of the sign then you should know appoximately what size and in what position your lettering should be in relation to your sign. Decide if you would like it in one or more lines. You should now think about what font would suit the house or area you are in. Fonts Available?

These are the basic shapes. Other shapes are available just let me
know what you would like to have.
Q: 3. Which standard sizes are available?
The standard sizes are listed below. All other sizes between the standard sizes will be
priced to the next size up ie 130x210 would be priced to a 130x250 or 135x200 would be priced to a 150x200.
Sizes outside this range will be POA (priced on application)

Most windows fonts can be used. If you have a favourite which is not here just mention it when enquiring and it can be used.

Q: 6. Can I modify my proof image?
Yes. You can modify your sign as many times as necessary until you are happy with what you will receive.
Q: 7. Can I change my mind?
Yes. Everyone can have a change of heart and knowing this means that you can change or cancel your order up until the sign has been carved out. The carving normally occurs the day after you have sent confirmation that the proof is correct.
Stopping an order after this time will inccur a partial refund only
depending on what stage the sign reached at the time it was cancelled.
Q: 8. Is there an expedited service?
Yes.
Raw signs are normally despatched within 3 working days. Royal Mail Two day delivery
Danish Oiled Signs are normally despatched within 8-10 working days. Royal Mail Two day delivery
Varnished signs are normally despatched within 10-14 working days. Royal Mail Two day delivery
If you need your sign in a hurry we can accommodate only raw signs or Danish Oil Finished Signs. (Varnished signs need time to harden naturally.). A £20 surcharge will allow your order to have a priority service which will mean that it will get routered the same day as ordering and despatched the next on a 24hr delivery.
